WineRacks by Marcus manufactures high quality wine racks offering unique wine storage solutions satisfying the needs of collectors, restaurants, and food service organizations.
In business since 1998, WineRacks by Marcus was originally formed to provide wine storage solutions for customers who had private lockers within a large wine storage facility.  The renters of walk-in wine storage lockers required safe, accessible, and space-efficient storage, with an additional view to strength in case of an occasional earthquake.

The aluminum wine racks won acceptance in the wine storage facility.  They were first exhibited at the California Restaurant Association’s, San Francisco Expo in 1998 and the 1999 NRA (National Restaurant Association) Show in Chicago.  The racks were received with great interest. We have since shipped WineRacks by Marcus to collectors, restaurants, hotels, and  private clubs in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Dubai, and China.

history

Steve Marcus began building wineracks for Steve Greenberg, owner of Irvine’s Wine Cellar Club in 1998. Steve G. had a hard time finding racks to match his storage vision for the Wine Cellar Club.  Steve M. took his concept from idea to product.  Using his passion for precision, Steve M. designed the racks to be efficient, lightweight and sturdy.  The first prototype racks were made by hand.  Today, 21 years later, each rack is still made by hand. He believed in a culture of precision, elegance, and simplicity.  The racks, today, are made in Orange County, CA with materials made in America, with one small exception. Steve Marcus' wife, Nancy, has been a supporter of the business from day one.  Now, retired from teaching, she runs the business with her son-in-law, Sebastian Eickholt.  They are committed to make the product the way Steve M. planned in 1998.
